About Us

Beckford Fine Art was founded in 2007 by James Forster.

Prior to establishing Beckford Fine Art, James worked as a Picture Valuer for Sotheby's, Bond Street.  He travelled extensively throughout the United Kingdom and visited parts of Europe cataloguing and valuing large high value picture collections.

He has also worked for Bonhams, Bath as Head of the Picture Department, and Dreweatt Neate, Tunbridge Wells as a General Valuer and Auctioneer.

James is a member of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers.
