About Us

Prior to establishing Beckford Fine Art, James worked as a Picture Valuer for Sotheby's, Bond Street.  He travelled extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Europe cataloguing and valuing large high value picture collections.  He has previously worked for Bonhams, Bath as Head of the Picture Department, and Dreweatt Neate, Tunbridge Wells as a General Valuer and Auctioneer.

James Forster, the founding partner of Beckford Fine Art LLP, also provides a valuation and estate dispersal service for private clients trading as 'Forster Fine Art'.
